Where Are the 355 Regional People’s Procuracies Located?
According to Decision No. 115/QĐ-VKSTC dated June 30, 2025 issued by the Supreme People’s Procuracy, Vietnam will officially transition from the district-level model to 355 regional-level People’s Procuracies starting July 1, 2025.
The full list of units and their official addresses is provided in the Annex to the Decision. Each province or centrally governed city will have 3 to 15 regional units, typically headquartered in central administrative zones for easy public access.
Examples of key localities:
– An Giang: 15 units; Long Xuyen Regional Procuracy is located in My Long Ward, Long Xuyen City.
– Lai Chau: 4 units; Muong Te – Nam Nhun Regional Procuracy is based in Muong Te Town.
– Hai Phong: 13 units; the Hong Bang – Ngo Quyen – Le Chan area is served by a unit located in Ngo Quyen District.
Organizational Structure of the Regional People’s Procuracy
Pursuant to:
– Clause 2, Article 48 of the 2014 Law on Organization of the People’s Procuracy
– Clause 11, Article 1 of the 2025 Amendment Law to the same Act
Each Regional Procuracy includes:
– Chief Procurator
– Deputy Chief Procurators
– Procurators
– Inspectors
– Civil servants
– Other employees
Depending on conditions, the unit may establish specialized departments or functional sections for operational support.
Appointment and Removal of Leaders
Based on:
– Articles 67 and 68 of the of the 2014 Law on Organization of the People’s Procuracy
– Clauses 18 and 19, Article 1 of the 2025 Amendment Law
Leadership roles, including Chief and Deputy Chief Procurators of regional units, are appointed, dismissed, or removed by the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People’s Procuracy.

– Each term lasts 5 years from the date of appointment
– Chief Procurators are accountable to the Provincial Procuracy and by law
– Deputy Chief Procurators act under delegation and are similarly accountable
