1. Zone 3 Court replaces former district courts in the western area of HCMC
As part of the judicial reform introducing regional courts Ho Chi Minh City will officially put into operation 19 People’s Courts of regional zones from July 1 2025. Among them the People’s Court of Zone 3 will take over all adjudication powers from the former District 5 District 6 and District 11 courts. This is a historically significant area with high population density and a large volume of civil commercial and administrative transactions
2. Jurisdictional coverage of the People’s Court of Zone 3
The People’s Court of Zone 3 will handle disputes arising in 11 administrative wards including Cho Quan An Dong Cho Lon Binh Tay Binh Tien Binh Phu Phu Lam Minh Phung Binh Thoi Hoa Binh and Phu Tho. These wards are part of Districts 5, 6 and 11. All petitions or requests related to these areas must now be submitted to the Zone 3 Court instead of the former district-level courts

As the judicial system shifts to a regional model individuals and businesses must take extra care to file documents with the correct court based on the new jurisdiction classify the dispute type accurately whether civil administrative or commercial and prepare all required documents under the new procedures.
